In the heart of AlUla, a destination unlike any other is taking shape. Developed by AlUla Development Company and operated by Marriott International, NUMAJ, the first Autograph Collection Hotel in the region redefines luxury by weaving together land, legacy, and the stars. Scheduled to open in 2027, the 250-room hotel will feature signature dining outlets, a luxury spa, pools, a fitness center, and comprehensive business and event facilities all thoughtfully designed to reflect AlUla’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Rooted in AlUla’s celestial heritage, the name NUMAJ is a semi-abstract reference to the star system Nu Ursae Majoris, historically associated with AlUla Borealis. This system is part of the Ursa Major constellation, long observed in the Arabian skies and used by ancient Arab astronomers as a celestial guide. The name itself is derived from the Arabic phrase “Al Kafzah al Ula” meaning “the first leap”, which describes the star’s placement in the sky and symbolizes a bold beginning.
