Design Infinity Takes A Major Step Toward Sustainability With Solar PV Installation
Design Infinity has made a remarkable move toward sustainability by installing a cutting-edge Solar PV system at its Joinery factory in Dubai Investment Park
Design Infinity, a leading name in the UAE’s interior design and fit-out industry, has made a significant move towards a sustainable future by installing a state-of-the-art Solar PV system at its Joinery factory located in Dubai Investment Park. This strategic initiative highlights Design Infinity’s commitment to environmental responsibility and energy efficiency in its operations.
The newly installed Solar PV system comprises TENKA N-Type Topcon panels from German manufacture, paired with five high-performance FRONIUS inverters from Austria. This technology is set to generate over 600 MWh of clean energy annually, significantly reducing the factory’s reliance on conventional energy sources.
By harnessing the power of the sun, Design Infinity anticipates saving more than 15,000 MWh of electricity over the next 25 years. This initiative will result in a 48% reduction in electricity consumption for the factory, marking a substantial decrease in its carbon footprint.
Commenting on this milestone, Pratap Mendonca, Managing Partner of Design Infinity, said, “The integration of solar energy into our operations is not just an investment in our company’s future, but also a responsibility we have towards our community and the environment. This solar installation is a testament to Design Infinity’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and corporate social responsibility. ”
Geetha Nayak, Managing Partner of Design Infinity, said, “Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words. This solar installation is a tangible step towards reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a greener future. We believe that every effort counts and this is just the beginning of our journey towards energy independence.”
Prakashan M.V, Division Head, Design Infinity, said, “The installation of the Solar PV system at our Joinery Factory in Dubai Investment Park is a significant step towards reducing our carbon footprint. This initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to environmental responsibility but also enhances the efficiency and sustainability of our manufacturing processes.”
Sreelesh V.K, Head of MEP at Design Infinity, added, “By harnessing renewable energy, we are not only reducing our reliance on traditional power sources but also setting a new standard for sustainability in the interior design and fit-out industry.”
The environmental impact of this solar initiative by Design Infinity is profound. Over the next 25 years, the installation is expected to avoid more than 290 tons of car emissions and prevent the release of over 9,100 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Additionally, the environmental benefit is equivalent to planting approximately 179,388 trees, contributing significantly to global reforestation efforts.
