Arabica recently opened its new concept store at the Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. The brand’s founder, Kenneth Shoji, teamed up with award-winning architect, Christ Precht. Together they designed the new % Arabica pods – a flexible and expandable unit that can be deployed anywhere.

The inspiration behind the design is the brands “%” logo. The half-circled doors of the % pod rotate to their locked position which is a minimal interpretation of the logo, utilising the slash as a peaking window into the world of coffee.

The store features a retail wall where customers have access to the latest % Arabica merchandise. On display are travel tumblers, backpacks, tote bags and portable brewing gadgets; essentials to “seeing the world through coffee”. Customers can also purchase a wide variety of beans that is sourced directly from coffee farmers around the world.
