A&T Group Interiors delivered the full interior fit-out works for F.R.N.D.S. Grand Cafe, a 15,000sqft visually stimulating fine-dining concept in Downtown Dubai.

Bringing a touch of glitz and glamour to the ground floor of Address Fountain Views, F.R.N.D.S Grand Cafe is a nod to the roaring 20s (think Great Gatsby vibes). Its distinctive look blends the luxury of a modern loft with contrasting rich Artdeco elements creating a luxurious and mysterious ambiance.

The high-end restaurant & lounge features silky drapes, extravagant crystal chandeliers, mirrored ceilings, a floating walnut, and quartzite table suspended from the 6.5m high ceiling and a five-metre-tall grand bar gilded with brass arches and adorned with an intricate stained-glass window.

Plush furniture, and rich colours such as gold, emerald green and ruby red add to the sophisticated feel, and for guests looking for that extra bit of privacy there is a glass-enclosed private dining room situated between towering five-metre-tall wine chillers offering a more intimate dining experience.

Within the restaurants main dining area guests are treated to a striking piece of visual poetry – A five-meter tall “bas-relief” carving on the wall by world-renowned Portuguese artist VHILS. The unforgettable female portrait was carved into the existing concrete wall using artist Alexandre Farto’s  ground-breaking bas-relief carving technique. The artists unique approach to art has been garnering critical acclaim around the globe and now his signature carving technique can be viewed right here in Downtown Dubai. VHILS used drills, hammers, chisels, and knives to dig into the existing surface, to extract and expose different layers like a contemporary urban archaeologist. The artwork exposes what lies beyond the superficiality of things, making visible the invisible and restoring meaning and beauty to the discarded dimensions buried beneath.

Finally, with inspiration drawn from Parisian-style cafes lining the Champs-Élysées, there is an outdoor terrace situated directly on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Blvd that embodies European charm. The terrace was built for year-round use, offering an enclosed, air-conditioned environment during the warmer months and an open-air treat during the cooler season.

The fit-out contract is the latest in a string of high-end hospitality projects to be delivered by A&T Group Interiors, following other notable venues such as Raspoutine Dubai in DIFC, Eva Beach House in Palm West Beach and Basko Dubai at The Opus.
