Mohammad Rahimizadeh, who earned his Bachelor of Architecture in 2008, founded Kalbod Design Studio in 2016. The Kalbod group has designed and implemented numerous projects since its inception.

Considering the natural environment and cultural conditions of each region has led to the formation of our final design in all of these projects. We have always attempted to integrate valuable architectural traditions with modern methods by first understanding the needs of the people and then achieving the best solution with various capabilities.

The idea of designing Ring Island Dubai is based on the approach and looking to the future and providing a multi-functional complex centered on medical services. The creative integration of a digital approach, sustainable architecture, geographic and social conditions of the region, as well as attention to the future needs of Dubai, are indicators that have been considered in all stages of ideation and design and have led to the formation of the final result.

Rahimizadeh says: “No matter how complicated a project is, from designing a villa to a residential region, all we expect from architecture is to improve the quality of its users’ lives and create a strong sense of belonging. We want people of all ages and cultures to feel alive in a building and, like an adventure, to explore every part of it in order to gain new experiences.”

Sandstorm is a natural phenomenon in Dubai that shapes the design concept of Absorbent Sand Storm Skyscraper, and the final design will be an answer to how to control this issue and even make positive use of it.

Additionally, the team has always made an effort to take a forward-thinking approach to all of its projects because they firmly believe that considering the next generation is one of the most crucial aspects of a project’s sustainability. “It forces designers to concentrate on issues like ‘what the future development methods of this project will be’ or “how to design a building with minimum energy consumption” from the very beginning of the design process. Therefore, every project is viewed as a challenge to preserve the earth and make it a secure home for humans and all other living things,” he continues.
