SVENM has recently won the contract for the design of the government’s Knowledge Fund Headquarters in Dubai.

Founded in 2009, SVENM Architecture and Design consultancy have successfully completed projects across the GCC with government entities including Dubai Culture, Sharjah Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi Tourism Development, and Investment Company and for corporate clients including Art Dubai, FLOS, Downtown Design, and Al Ghurair Group.

Having won the re-design for Al Ghurair University earlier this year also in Academic City, this second win puts SVENM firmly on the institutional map of Dubai’s architecture and design sector.

Sven Müller

Sven Müller, founder of SVENM said: “We are driven by the application of research in our work and education sector clients appreciate this. We considered the Knowledge Fund’s brand and our floor-plan was informed by calculating the reach of daylight into space which leads us to minimise built interventions creating a headquarters that evokes transparency.”

The SVENM winning concept features an investment zone for VIP guests and a 480sqm open plan space supporting the growth of the Knowledge Fund team, which facilitates investment into the education sector to achieve Dubai’s 2020 goals.

“Our design will define the Knowledge Fund and we are delighted the jury felt our proposal best reflected their brand’s ethos and vision,” adds Müller.
