Universal Trading Company (UTC) recently organised a heartwarming iftar for the children of Senses Residential and Daycare Centre for Special Needs. The event, held in April 2023 at the Nolte Küchen showroom, aimed to spread awareness about the various ways people can contribute to support this remarkable organisation. The delightful iftar meal was prepared by renowned Emirati chef and founder of SLAW, Ali Yazdi, and the children joyfully took part in cooking the meal under his guidance.

The evening was filled with laughter and happiness as everyone came together to create an unforgettable experience. Dr. Nadia Alsayegh, the Founder and Director General of Senses Residential and Daycare Centre for Special Needs, expressed her gratitude for the event, saying, “Being invited by Universal Trading Company for a special iftar at Universal Trading Company’s Nolte Küchen showroom was an uplifting experience for us at Senses. The gift of time is something we truly value. And in this event, not only were our kids able to share a meal but also enjoy the experience of preparing a hearty dish by a chef they can look up to. The kids came back with huge smiles on their faces and that’s how we know this night is going to be truly treasured.”

“Seeing the joy on their faces as they actively participated in cooking my favourite traditional rice and chicken Emirati dish was precious. It’s moments like this that remind me why I love what I do and inspire me to continue creating meaningful culinary experiences. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference and to spread joy and kindness during the holy month of Ramadan here at Universal Trading Company’s Nolte Küchen showroom. Their vision and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others through their products are truly inspiring,” says Chef Ali.

Ziad Abdel Nour, the General Manager of Universal Trading Company, also spoke about the importance of community service for their brand, saying, “using the resources that we have, we strive to create a lasting community impact. As a company, we believe that the kitchen is where moments turn into lifelong memories. That is why this initiative is extremely close to our hearts. In our little ways, we hope we’ve created a meaningful night for everyone involved and shown everyone that there are various opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. We just need to have the will to make it happen.”

Universal Trading Company and SLAW remain committed to contributing to more community initiatives and making a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.
