Designer and engineer May Arratia launches her first line of furniture creations at SALÓN NUDE 2018, part of ongoing Valencia‘s Hábitat furniture fair. The event which starts today in Spain will go on util September 21, 2018.
Arratia is showing a mesmerising line of designs, manufactured in solid aluminum — of aeronautical quality — machined by turning and milling. The application of this material and manufacturing process for decorative purposes is a total innovation, adding even more singularity to these customisable creations; objects created to last over time.
The designer has developed a series of modular systems, that work like a construction game with an assortment of shapes and colours to build some of the designs — all inspired by the art of ancient civilisations and the hypnotic effect of geometry inherent in nature surrounding us. Undoubtedly, this is a new vision of avant-garde furniture, combination of creative imagination and innovative technical solutions.
