Sustainability is at the heart of businesses and practises, and it’s past time we recognise and praise those who are making a difference in the world. The Sustainability Innovation Awards 2022 is set to take place on June 17, 2022, at Sofitel Dubai the Palm. Nominations for the awards are now open. The event is catered to all sectors and industries but we wanted to highlight the categories that dedicated to design sector as well.
These design categories recognise all-round excellence in sustainable design, including the overall methods and delivery of buildings, public infrastructure, and materials used. These awards celebrate the people, projects, and businesses who are sustainable and critical recognition for the architecture, design, and construction industries.
A sustainable design has been created to have the least negative impact on the global or local environment, community, society, or economy. They incorporate sustainability principles into each of their design decisions, they use environmentally friendly materials, and even source their products locally. The degree of sustainability is taken into account when selecting the best green design. Along with the overall aesthetics of submitted project, green initiatives, waste reduction, and well-being of the people are taken into account.
