With 30 years of experience in interior design, Christian has developed his expertise from the ground up, starting with a strong foundation in interior craftsmanship and progressing to senior management roles. After an early education in hotel administration, he obtained a degree in Interior Design in 1989, and later qualified as interior architect in Geneva, Switzerland. Christian relocated to Dubai in 2005 to take on the role of Managing Director at a renowned international design firm.

After nearly 20 years with a leading firm, where he designed projects for global hotel operators like Hyatt, IHG, Millennium, Rezidor, Rosewood, Marriott, Starwood, and Accor, Christian launched MMAC Design Associates. This award-winning boutique interior design consultancy, based in Dubai, specialises in mid-scale and luxury hospitality design. Recognised as one of the most influential designers in the Middle East by Commercial Interior Design magazine, Christian also holds a key industry role as a member of the American University of Dubai’s Interior Design Advisory Board.
