Motif Interiors completes cutting-edge office fitout at DMCC Uptown Tower
Motif’s 11,000 square foot office blends modern design with functional elegance, providing a sophisticated workspace for a confidential commodities trading company
Motif Interiors has completed a modern office fitout for a leading commodities trading company, located in the iconic DMCC Uptown Tower. This 11,000 square foot office showcases modern design and functional elegance, providing a workspace tailored to the needs of the company’s diverse international team.
The client’s primary brief to interior design studios by Segrex Development was to create a comfortable, contemporary office space that fosters productivity and reflects modern design trends. The design led by Maxim Kamnev, cheif designer and Alex Kiriyatskih, managing partner at Segrex, emphasises a calm, ergonomic environment with bright accent elements, ensuring continuity with the company’s other offices while introducing unique, innovative features.
“The design concept centers around creating a timeless and ergonomic workspace. Key design elements include a clean, structured layout, natural textures, and neutral tones that create a calm atmosphere,” explains Rita Estephan, COO at Motif Interiors. “The introduction of retro-futuristic elements, such as rounded walls and curvilinear glass partitions, adds a dynamic and memorable touch to the space.”
Design Walkthrough
Upon entering the office, visitors are greeted by a minimalist reception area featuring natural wood textures and understated lighting. This area sets the tone for the entire office, combining simplicity with sophistication.
Collaboration zones within the office are designed to encourage creativity and interaction. These areas feature curvilinear glass partitions that create semi-private spaces for informal meetings.
The use of mid-century modern-inspired furniture, including curved wooden chairs and modular sofas in light blue shades, adds a touch of style and comfort, paired with neutral flooring carpet tiles from Interface.
The conference room is a key feature of the office, designed with flexibility in mind. It includes foldable doors that allow the space to be easily reconfigured for different meeting sizes or purposes. Wood-panelled walls and neutral tones create a warm, professional setting, while circular ceiling lights ensure even, soft lighting.
