The Face Clinic, a new 8,578 sqft space by American Hospital, combines state-of-the-art design with a calming atmosphere to enhance patient experience

Motif Interiors has successfully completed the fitout of The Face Clinic by American Hospital, located in Al Khawaneej, Dubai. The new 8,500 sqft clinic is designed to offer a calming and contemporary environment for aesthetic treatments and skincare, with a focus on comfort and patient experience.
The design of The Face Clinic, created by Leisure Direct, embodies a minimalist and calming aesthetic, crafted to enhance patient comfort and well-being across its reception, waiting, and consultation areas. The clinic’s neutral colour palette and use of natural materials, such as wood finishes and soft-toned furnishings, create a warm, inviting atmosphere that aligns with its focus on patient-centred care.
The project included the full fitout and furniture supply. The design blends functionality with an elegant, minimalist aesthetic, creating a space that reflects American Hospital’s commitment to high standards of care and professionalism.
“The concept design was created by Leisure Direct, and we developed it further to ensure the space was both functional and beautiful, “said Sarah Allix, head of business development at Motif Interiors. “ One of the key challenges we faced was the timeline, but we addressed this through early material workshops and early procurement for long-lead items. This allowed us to complete the project on schedule. We are proud to have played a role in American Hospital’s first aesthetics clinic and look forward to supporting their future expansion.

In the reception area, clean lines, indirect lighting, and carefully curated decor set a sophisticated tone, while the soft, sculptural seating and wall artwork add a touch of personality.
The waiting area continues this theme with rounded shapes and integrated lighting, promoting a relaxed lounge-like feel. Wooden slats, greenery, and minimalist shelving further enhance the sense of tranquillity and connection to nature.

Each consultation room is designed with functionality and comfort in mind, featuring ergonomic furniture, integrated technology, and subtle artistic touches. The soft lighting and neutral tones reduce the clinical feel, creating a space where patients can feel at ease.

Ziad Hamze, Group Chief Projects Officer at Al Mulla Group, acknowledged the successful delivery of the project, stating: “The brief for both the interior design and fit-out teams was to create a state-of-the-art clinic that would uplift clients the moment they enter, providing an aesthetically soothing experience.
American Hospital, since its inception, has been committed to offering high-end healthcare services, and this project needed to match that standard while also addressing the competitive healthcare market in Dubai.”
Mahmoud Abusultan, Group MEP Engineer at American Hospital Dubai, praised Motif Interiors for their commitment to quality: “Motif Interiors demonstrated an exceptional client-oriented approach throughout the project. The entire endeavour was delivered on time, maintaining the highest standards of quality. Every aspect of the project, including civil works, MEP systems, final finishes, and furniture supply & installations, was executed flawlessly,” he concluded.
