Raees Ahmad’s 20+ year journey in construction has been shaped by an enduring passion for engineering, innovation, and excellence. An engineering graduate with a Master’s in Design Management from Heriot-Watt University, along with professional certifications including PMP, LEED AP BD+C, and ISO 19650, he has cultivated deep expertise in engineering, project delivery, and sustainable practices.

Early in his career, Raees embraced emerging technologies such as BIM as early as 2010, setting the tone for a forward-thinking trajectory. His leadership spans a wide portfolio, from airport concourses and commercial towers to cultural landmarks and mega-developments.

Now serving as Head of Design and Engineering at ALEC, he is entrusted with transforming complex visions into reality, from concept through construction. His success is anchored in continuous learning, a collaborative mindset, and a relentless pursuit of quality—values that have enabled him to play a defining role in shaping the skylines of the UAE and beyond.

That Define Excellence He has been instrumental in delivering some of the UAE’s most complex and visionary developments. His leadership in Mirdif City Centre, one of the UAE’s first LEED- certified malls, marked a significant milestone in sustainable design. At Dubai International Airport, his coordination on Concourse A, Concourse D, and Terminal 1 showcased technical precision in high-security, live-operating environments.

Among his proudest achievements is the Mobility Pavilion at Expo 2020 a global showcase of cutting- edge design and engineering where he also contributed to the UAE Pavilion and Firdous Studio. In Abu Dhabi, his work on the Natural UAE Pavilion: Inspired by a falcon in flight, the UAE Pavilion stands as a powerful symbol of the nation’s heritage, ambition, and vision for the future. Mobility Pavilion: A landmark of innovation at Expo 2020, the Mobility Pavilion showcases the evolution of human progress through bold design and immersive experiences. History Museum and Center of Curiosity, Team Lab Phenomena reflects his passion for immersive, future-facing experiences.
