Light Touch PLD is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. In 2010, in the midst of a growing but challenging design industry in the UAE, the company’s partners embarked in a journey to provide personalised, specialist and high-quality lighting design to its clients. Over the course of the last 10 years, this vision to become a fully established consultancy has become a reality, having delivered hundreds of iconic projects in the region.

Over this last decade, Light touch has proved that lighting design can benefit everyone, everywhere, in all aspects of life. The company has completed projects of all sizes and uses, from F&B outlets and private villas to shopping malls, hotels of all categories, educational facilities, and full city masterplans. Paul Miles, principal design director and partner, shared: “This is a remarkable milestone. Light Touch PLD has achieved this success through the hard work, passion, and dedication of our team members, the development of our strict design procedures and attention to detail and our culture of customer service. Without ever compromising our integrity, we have dedicated ourselves to 10 years of creative innovation and continued improvement to provide our clients with the highest quality solutions, striving to really understand our customer’s requirements and providing a product that is not only spectacular but feasible and commercially savvy. Throughout the second half of 2020, we will be looking back at our journey, celebrating our team members and our project accomplishments. We are also very proud of our relationships, both with our business associates and our employees, so we are planning to host a big event when it is safe to do so.”

“It is marvellous to see what we have accomplished as a team,” says Andrea Acciarresi, principal lighting designer and associate director, who has been with Light Touch PLD since 2012. “Our biggest achievements lie in challenging ourselves and our clients, and they’re manifested every time we finish a project or get a new appointment. We started as a team of four but have grown into a fully established office of more than 20 in Dubai and 50 internationally. We have become a fully established design office, while being involved in iconic designs that we have now seen come to life.”

Light Touch PLD’s product offering goes further than lighting design. The company offers creative solutions fit for every client and project. For the last three years, a dedicated post contract team has been placed on construction sites, monitoring day -to-day activities and working in collaboration with contractors and designers, ensuring the client’s vision is met.

In terms of sustainability, 96% of all the designed projects achieved some form of certification such as LEED, Estidama, or GSAS/QSAS, depending on their geographical location.
