Cassina: Mastering The Art Of Outdoor Living
The Cassina Outdoor Collection features designs from renowned architects

A symphony of colour and Mediterranean atmospheres
The Cassina Outdoor Collection draws on vibrant colours and distinctive textures. A celebration of Mediterranean atmospheres, its characteristic shades reflect the deep blue of the sea, the green tones of a shady garden, the enveloping warmth of terracotta and the bright yellow of the sun.
Developed according to ‘The Cassina Perspective’, the outdoor catalogue harmoniously combines the most innovative designs with the great classics, featuring proposals by Antonio Citterio, Rodolfo Dordoni, Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, Gerrit T. Rietveld, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. Perfect forinformal dining, convivial settings and poolside relax, the collection’smodels have been meticulously developed for outdoor use, with particularfocus on durability, aesthetics and comfort.
A small domestic architecture by Patricia Urquiola Patricia Urquiola’s Trampoline collection, characterised by a playful aspect and rounded shapes, stands out among Cassina’s iconic designs. The latest piece, the Trampoline Lounge Chair, has been conceived as a small architecture with renewed dimensions compared to the dining chair: the seat is wider and deeper, while the backrest and armrests’ are lower. A perfect proposal for relaxing outdoors, it embraces the increasingly popular trend of informal dining, favouring greater comfort for convivial moments. The Trampoline Lounge Chair comes in two versions: the first has a symmetrical hand-woven cord wrapped around the structure, echoing the common thread of the entire collection, and the second’s metal structure has been left exposed to highlight its minimalist charm. Both versions have comfortable removable seat cushions, while the backrest cushions can be freely positioned in the woven cord model or joined to each other and attached to the backrest’s structure in the other model.
Indoor/outdoor: rediscover the comfort of the outdoors
The boundariesbetween the indoors and the outdoors has never been so fluid. As a consequence, Cassina has transferred a selection of its evergreen models to the outdoors, such as the Utrecht XL Outdoor by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. Presented in new textured fabrics and patterns inspired by Mediterraneanl andscapes, the armchair features soft padding in recycled polyester wadding, protected by a water repellent canvas that envelops the internal metal frame and okumè wood arms to prevent water permeating inside. Its geometric shapes are enhanced by visible zips, a detail that, together with the Velcro® fasteners concealed at the bottom of the seat and armrest, makes it possible to completely remove the one-piece upholstery without disassembling its parts.
The Esosoft Outdoor system by Antonio Citterio is also among the Collection’s protagonists: a reinterpretation of the indoor model with new materials, it results in a new and unique aesthetic. In this outdoor transposition, the emblematic exoskeleton base supports a shell made of hand-woven fibre, similar to a natural material, that guarantees greater durability and resistance to abrasion, heat and UV rays, as well as being easier to clean. The basket’s interior welcomes soft cushions with padding covered in a water-repellent canvas and made from circular materials such as polyurethane with a percentage of polyols derived from organic sources and recycled polyester wadding, confirming the company’s commitment to adopting a more sustainable approach.
The Cassina Outdoor Collection offers a complete range with numerous proposals that embrace a broad spectrum of styles and suggestions for every type of home.
