Good Earth, India’s leading luxury design house, unveils its first international space, Good Earth Chahar Bagh — a bespoke experience in Al Barsha, Dubai.

An oasis in the desert city, Chahar Bagh draws from the essence of Persian paradise gardens, immersive spaces of harmony and sensorial delight. The splendour of these gardens inspired our vision for Chahar Bagh, a destination of discovery for craft and culture, shaped by the confluence of traditions, ideas, and artistry that once flowed along the Silk Route.

The Space: A Contemporary Garden of Delight
The story of Chahar Bagh is centuries old, rooted in the namesake gardens — spaces of perfect proportion, filled with birdsong, breeze, fruiting trees, and the heady perfume of flowers. Rooted in Persian ideals and shaped by the Indian landscape, these gardens represented the confluence of two rich traditions in form, feeling, and philosophy.

The architectural interiors mirror not only the design codes of these gardens, but also their sensorial pleasures. Designed by award-winning architect Abha Narain Lambah, whose previous conservation work at the palace gardens of Mandu and Shalimar Bagh in Kashmir emphasizes respect for heritage and spatial integrity, Chahar Bagh translates these principles into a contemporary sanctuary.

The spiritual and practical purposes of waterways in paradise gardens manifest here as a central fountain, around which distinct zones of discovery unfold. Soaring arches and muqarnas, decorative elements in Persian architecture, rise through layers of superimposed niches that link surfaces across domes and vaults, reflecting symmetry, design, and the harmony of natural and manmade elements. Just as paradise gardens were designed as a retreat from the desert, Chahar Bagh offers a sumptuous, serene sanctuary in the desert city.

Spatial Highlights
Spanning 6,500 sq. ft. across two floors, the visual codes reflect the cultural assimilation and exchange that was at the heart of the Silk Route. Away from the hectic rush of malls, this space offers respite — a place to slow down, linger, indulge, and experience an atmosphere of leisure and discovery.

The interiors are rich in handcrafted details, showcasing not just the beauty of artistry, but also its longevity. Handwoven brocade panels, hand-painted miniature drawings, antique mirrors, and crystal Vox Populi chandeliers from the south of France carry forward themes of confluence, craft, and connection to the past.

Good Earth Chahar Bagh redefines luxury as lived and personal

Drawing from the original gardens’ tranquility, the space welcomes guests with a waterway and fountain that invites serenity, setting the tone for a visit to this modern sanctuary. The fountain divides the space into distinct “baghs,” each telling a story of refined lifestyle — entertaining, living, dining, gifting, beauty, and style.

The zenana, an intimate upper-level retreat, evokes the romance of royal salons and traditions of adornment, with delicate muslin curtains enveloping our selection of handcrafted apparel, beauty, and fragrance. Soft music, a curated playlist, the signature Isfahan fragrance, and custom florals offer a contemporary expression of our eternal inspiration — the sensorial delights of paradise gardens.
