The design industry is booming and flourishing and one can clearly understand that with the kind of homegrown concepts and international design stores coming into the region. Home décor showroom, aura launched its first store recently in Dubai and will be retailing an extensive branded collection across expressions of modern, classic, trendy and contemporary style, as well as the brand’s stunning Iconic collection of traditional Arabic items that includes dellahs, medkhanas, and coffee cups with a modern design approach, offering the ultimate selection in affordable home décor. Aura is an independent home fashion brand based in Saudi Arabia.

Casa Mia
One of the largest décor showrooms in the Middle East—Casa Mia will launch in early 2018 and will have over 90 brands (that include sanitary, ceramics, mosaic, wallpapers, furniture, vanity, etc) under one roof. The showroom is spread over 40,000sqm area and is designed by Sharon Jutla. It comprises eight warehouses where the internal walls have been removed to create one huge open space. The new showroom caters for live hotel mock-up rooms with 42 exhibitions, huge spa area, and comfortable, spacious lounge for clients to interact and conveniently browse. The floor space has been divided to help users move through spaces efficiently and comfortably raised platforms. Wallpaper stations have been provided whereby designers and clients have enabled touch screens to design and modify their choices.

The Home
The Home is a three-floor hyper store (over 9,290sqm.) and has an abundance of choice for a customer looking for traditional as well as contemporary items for their homes. This brand, which produces 40% of the bedding, mattresses, and sofa sets in its factory in the UAE, has a unique offering for its customersbespoke furniture. The store, which opened last month, has used modern Arabic design element, which is a white meshrabia, which runs as a constant feature across all the three levels of the store. It not only hosts a wide assortment of home furniture and accessories, but also has a great environment, which is designed to be hassle-free, and make the customers feel completely at home. The highlight of this store can be experienced on Level 3 in the exclusive man cave and rustic area. IV showcases modern and chic designs in home decor, artwork and gift items. The store, which will open in January 2018, will be home for international brands with an introduction of Jonathan Adler furniture and home décor. An exclusive collection from Los Angeles based furniture designer Rene Cazares, known for his exceptional and chic, flawlessly constructed upholstery pieces will also be represented at IV.

Living Divani
Leading Italian brand, Living Divani, has recently opened its store at Dubai Design District in collaboration with Le Cercle. The store is designed by the Piero Lissoni Architects includes framed backlit walls embellished with bamboo canes. The 300sqm space offers a comprehensive collection of iconic pieces as well as the brand’s novelties, encompassing both casual and refined looks, for the living room, bedroom, dining room, office and outdoor space. Iconic products of the collection include the bestseller Extrasoft and the sofas Ile Club, Rod, Neowall, all designed by Piero Lissoni. To complete the setting, the decorative modern lighting by Flos makes the store a haven for design aficionados.
