Govind is excited to bring Hans Shi Fu to life, an experimental brand for Chinese Palace Group, developing its flagship in Dubai with innovative food and beverage concepts. He is also overseeing two major hotel renovations, including a DoubleTree Hilton, elevating design and operations to 5-star standards under tight timelines. Simultaneously, he is growing TwentyOne06’s Design Management service, establishing processes, documentation, and standards that expand the team’s skills beyond design into project leadership and accountability.

FROM START TO SUCCESS

A graduate of Nottingham Trent University in Interior Architecture, Govind began in a boutique London studio, mastering ultra-luxury residential and hotel design. He expanded into global retail as an in-house concept designer for a fashion brand, refining brand storytelling. His true passion emerged in F&B, designing franchises and chef-led concepts across Europe and the Middle East. Now in Dubai, he leads TwentyOne06—an award-winning studio, Interior Designer of the Year, cover star, and mentor to a growing team of independent creatives.

THE ROAD AHEAD

After two years of rapid external growth, TwentyOne06 is now focused on internal growth: strengthening team skills, refining processes, and aligning the brand for the next five years. Financial and operational education across departments is a priority, empowering team members to manage their roles as businesses within the agency. Looking ahead, the industry will evolve through brand positioning and brand equity, with agencies needing to define their identity clearly to stand out amid increasing competition.

Leading with Impact

Govind leads by sharing vision, not just direction—ensuring his team understands the “why” behind every decision. His philosophy, “Learn, Sharpen, Repeat,” drives continuous growth and collaboration, uniting creatives under one goal. Over the past five months, he has redefined TwentyOne06 from within, aligning brand, people, and practice. His transparent, knowledge-sharing approach inspires not only his team but also peers across the industry, proving leadership is about clarity, conviction, and collective ambition.

PROJECTS

THAT DEFINE EXCELLENCE One of Govind’s most rewarding collaborations has been with Michelin-recognised Chef Reif Othman, a relationship spanning over four years. Together they’ve created award-winning restaurants including Nama Yoso, Reif Kushiyaki, and TERO—a 12-seat private chef’s kitchen in Dubai Hills that embodies storytelling and intimacy. Today, Govind’s role extends beyond design: he partners with clients on brand strategy, business models, site sourcing, and even investment support to drive long-term growth.
