URB Strengthens European Presence With Strategic Expansion
URB has announced a major milestone in its international growth strategy

URB has announced the next phase of its international evolution, establishing London and Belgrade as its new strategic bases for international markets.
The move reflects a natural progression in the practice’s global journey, strengthening its presence across Europe while continuing to engage with partners, cities, and institutions shaping the future of urban environments.
As part of this transition, URB has appointed Gabriela Dostanic as Head of International Business Development, based in Belgrade. Dostanic has been part of the practice since its earliest days and brings deep institutional knowledge, continuity, and long-standing relationships to the role.
“Gabriela understands the DNA of the practice deeply,” said Baharash Bagherian, Founder of URB. “Her appointment ensures clarity, trust, and continuity as we expand our international engagement.”
Bagherian will continue to focus upstream, operating between London and Belgrade while travelling across Europe throughout the year. His work will center on reconnecting with long-standing collaborators and building new partnerships with cities, institutions, and innovators exploring next-generation urban thinking.
“URB’s work was never bound to a single geography,” Bagherian added. “This is not a departure. It is an evolution.”
URB’s Dubai presence will remain active. The studio will continue to operate from Dubai Design District as a support office, ensuring continuity for ongoing engagements and long-term relationships in the region.
“This step allows us to collaborate more broadly, think more globally, and engage more deeply,” Bagherian said. “The journey continues, now with a wider horizon.”
