H2R Design has unveiled the creative vision behind NETTE Al Barari, a lifestyle-driven café-restaurant that effortlessly weaves together wellness, design, and a sense of escape.

Created as an urban sanctuary that builds on the identity of the original NETTE at MATCHA Club, NETTE Al Barari, has been designed as crafted social hub for the surrounding community, a peaceful grounding retreat within the fast-pace rhythm of Dubai.

Every design decision was guided by the pursuit of relaxation – from ambient lighting to a richly layered material palette – where subtle spatial divisions, warm tactile finishes, and sculpted ceilings converge to create a serene, balanced environment that encourages guests to pause, unwind, and connect.

Inspired by contemporary minimalism yet evoking organic warmth, the interiors bring together clean architectural lines and tactile natural textures. Muted earth tones are offset by curated pops of colour drawn from NETTE’s signature palette, while an intentional indoor-outdoor flow reinforces a connection to the surrounding greenery. A long coffee counter invites guests to savour each moment. Long communal tables encourage connection, while cosy sofa areas offer a more intimate experience. The result is a space that is both stylish and restorative—one that encourages guests to slow down, connect, and savour the moment.

Influenced by both biophilic design principles and the restaurant’s French Japanese culinary identity, the space features a refined blend of materials, including warm woods, textured finishes, and natural stone. These are complemented by carefully selected furnishings – many sourced internationally – to reflect the restaurant’s cultural nuance.

A defining feature of the space is its dynamic spatial use. Varying flooring materials subtly delineate different functional zones within the restaurant, while a sculpted, layered ceiling creates visual continuity throughout. Strategic color accents – drawn from Nette’s original brand identity – add depth and definition. Shades of green and terracotta are balanced with touches of blue and black, all grounded by a warm off-white backdrop that brings a sense of freshness and cohesion.

Rooted in a sense of cultural storytelling, the design and culinary experience are woven together with intention, creating a space that feels both expressive and rooted in its environment. It’s this fusion of identity and place that gives Nette Al Barari its distinctive character—effortlessly elegant, grounded in nature, and thoughtfully connected to its community.
