Mandarin Oriental Muscat is an exceptional addition to Oman’s high-end tourist destinations and a catalyst for further development in one of the Sultanate’s most beautiful regions. Situated on the scenic Shatti Al Qurum coast, the hotel pays homage to Oman’s rich past while welcoming guests on a cultural journey of discovery. The hotel’s central location adds to its appeal. It is a short distance from the Royal Opera House Muscat, a short drive from the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Muscat International Airport.

Guests can enjoy the elegance of 103 bedrooms and 47 suites, which feature locally produced materials such as Desert Rose marble and Ashwood. Each handcrafted piece from bed backboards inspired by traditional Omani hats to brass lanterns resembling distinctive Omani daggers exemplifies the region’s artisanal legacy.

The residences at Mandarin Oriental, a collection of 156 private houses, offers a distinctive coastal lifestyle with unparalleled comfort and service. Guests can also relax and take a leisurely swim in the 30-meter outdoor pool and other top-notch amenities such as a spa and event spaces for special occasions. The tranquil urban paradise with its breathtaking sea views and traditional Hammam provides a personalised approach to relaxation and regeneration.

Mirage’s role as the project manager was crucial in overcoming various challenges. “Our task was to provide leadership in resolving legacy issues in design, project delivery and claims resolution. I am thrilled with the results we are seeing today,” says Andreas Shoppe, Executive Director, Mirage.

Amar Tahilani, Mirage CEO said: “Achieving this milestone is a testament to Mirage’s unique ability to deep dive midway into an ongoing project and instil leadership and direction that cohesively engaged all stakeholders including designers, the supervision consultant, hotel operator, Client, contractor and contractor’s supply chain to deliver a landmark hospitality offering for Muscat, Oman.”
