The development of team members is key to the vision of Godwin Austen Johnson and this year has seen a number of promotions with Jason Burnside, who first joined the practice over 20 years ago, stepping into the role of managing director.

In his new role Jason supports the Chairman, Brian Johnson, heading the development of the company, setting growth strategies and leading the team whilst managing a busy workload within the practice.

New building at DUBAI COLLEGE.

Jason and the team have recently acquired a number of new projects, specifically residential developments across the UAE as well as a new hotel in Dubai and a new island development in Abu Dhabi. In addition, the team have handed over two new school projects this summer – the new building at Dubai College and the Arcadia Global School in Al Furjan – and are set to complete two new hotel and residential towers in Dubai later this year.

While Jason’s role is much more strategic now, he is still closely involved with project delivery, overseeing ongoing work both in the UAE, with the Serenia Living on the Palm Jumeirah, and in KSA on a regular basis to oversee work on two of the firm’s projects within the DGDA developments.

“This year has been very positive with significantly more enquiries received than ever before setting us up for a busy year ahead. While Saudi Arabia leads the region in new project opportunities and major infrastructure investment initiatives, the UAE continues to invest in luxury developments with plenty of opportunities in the hospitality and residential sectors,” said Jason.
