Hazem Al-Zaro is an enthusiastic architect who serves as the founder and chief designer of Zaro Architects. Born in Cairo, Egypt, to an Egyptian mother and a Palestinian father, Hazem grew up in a multi-faceted family with artistic, political, and business roots that affected his career path tremendously. His architectural journey is firmly rooted in a global-minded mindset, vision, and ambition, which has shaped him into the accomplished architect and business leader he is today. Hazem pursued his interest and began studying architectural engineering. Mentored by significant personalities both regionally and internationally, Hazem considers himself fortunate to have been exposed to a plethora of ideologies, shaping his approach to architecture and design. This phase enriched him with a wealth of experience across civic, governmental, cultural, and residential projects spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.

In 2010, Hazem took the bold step of establishing Zaro Architects, now a vibrant community of approximately 20 globally diverse employees. This dynamic group fosters cultural exchange as a cornerstone of design, making remarkable strides in progress. Zaro Architects has evolved into a haven for passionate designers who operate like a close-knit family, continuously delivering bespoke design solutions, ranging from urban planning and interior design to conservation and restoration. The firm boasts a robust client base both regionally and internationally. The year 2015, marked a significant milestone, as Zaro Architects expanded its footprint to Dubai, situating itself within the creative nexus of designers at Dubai Design District. In 2017, an additional office was established in El Gouna, extending the firm’s influence to the Red Sea Area. Fueled by dedication, resilience, and ambition, Zaro Architects continues its trajectory of expansion and boundary pushing through reaching out for talent globally.
